Acrise Capital was founded on a simple conviction: that the most enduring wealth is created by owning good businesses well, for a very long time.
Acrise Capital is a private holding company. We acquire, operate, and develop durable businesses and real assets across Western Canada — and we hold them. We are not a fund with a clock running, nor a buyer looking for a quick resale. We are owners, and we intend to remain owners for decades.
Our name carries that intention. Acrise is Old English for "oak rise" — a name drawn from family roots, and a fitting one for a company built to grow slowly, stand firmly, and endure.
We build for permanence. Everything else follows from that single decision.
Permanence changes every choice. When you plan to own a business for thirty years rather than three, you treat its people differently, you reinvest rather than extract, and you measure success in the strength of the institution rather than the speed of an exit. We borrow our model from the great compounders — companies that grew quietly, reinvested patiently, and became substantial precisely because they were never in a hurry.
We are generalists by design, drawn to essential businesses with dependable revenue and strong local reputations. We have no interest in fashionable industries or in being the cleverest party in a transaction. We are interested in good operators, fair dealings, and assets that will still matter in fifty years.
We invest where we live. Our home is the South Okanagan, and the businesses we acquire are run by people who are our neighbours. That proximity is not incidental — it is a form of accountability. We carry the reputations of the businesses we own, and we treat the people within them, and the communities around them, as a responsibility rather than a line item.
For founders considering their next chapter, that commitment is the heart of what we offer: a home for what you have built, run with care, kept whole, and carried forward.
